Admissions
Welcome to St Joseph’s, an exceptional and inclusive Catholic community where every child thrives. Grounded in our shared values, we provide an outstanding education within a safe, nurturing environment that encourages academic, social, and spiritual growth.
Our Catholic faith is the foundation of school life, yet our doors are wide open to everyone. Whether your family is Catholic, practices another faith, or holds no religious beliefs, you are warmly welcomed into our diverse and vibrant school family. We truly celebrate the unique gifts each child brings to our classrooms.
We gladly accept applications from both Hampshire and Surrey residents. Children step into their exciting learning journey with us in the September after their fourth birthday.
While our website offers a glimpse into life at St Joseph's, nothing compares to seeing it in person. If you are exploring the right environment for your child, please contact the School Office to arrange a tour.
We are immensely proud to share that Ofsted awarded us 'Outstanding' in all areas once again during our recent 2024 inspection.
RECEPTION 2027/2028 ADMISSIONS
The Year R Admissions main round application process will commence on 1st November 2026.
Residents of Hampshire can do so via the following link: www.hants.gov.uk/admissions. Residents of Surrey can do so via the following link: www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions
In addition to your online application, we ask that you also complete our Supplemtary Information Form, a copy of which will be available from the school office or online from 1st November 2026.
Please note that we admit children to our school in the September after their fourth birthday and our published admissions number (PAN) for all our Reception year groups is 70.

IN YEAR TRANSFERS
You can make an in-year application if your child needs to join a school outside of the normal admissions round - for example if you move house and your child can no longer attend their current school.
Those wishing to apply for an in-year place must complete an online application via their local authority. For those residing in Hampshire, further information regarding the application process can be found by clicking HERE. An online application can be made via the following link: Hampshire Education Online Portal
We also require you to complete a Supplementary Form (SIF) and send this to the school along with a copy of the child’s baptism certificate (if applying for Faith based reasons). Paper copies of all application forms are available on request from the school office.
Documents can be submitted in person at the school office or scanned and emailed directly to admissions
WAITING LISTS
Where there are more applicants than places available, a waiting list will operate for each year group according to our agreed Admissions Arrangements and without regard to the date the application was received or when a child's name was added to the waiting list. Waiting lists will be reviewed in the Summer term of each Academic Year and parents will be contacted to see whether they wish for their child to remain on the waiting list. Failure to confirm your child's position on the waiting list will result in your child's removal from the list.
Appeals
If you are not offered one of your preferred schools, you have the right to appeal. Please see the Appeals information on Hampshire County Council's website including the Timetable for Appeals.
